Kogenergy’s newly designed Recife Waste Recycling Plant, to located in the City of Recife in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil.
The heart of the project is the Waste Processing and Pretreatment facility. This operation will receive up to 2000 metric tonnes per day of Municipal Solid Waste which will be processed such that recyclables and inert material will be separated, the organic fraction and other materials such as paper, cardboard, wood, textiles, plastics, tires, yard waste and other constituents will be processed into a homogeneous dry bulk material suitable for use by various industries. Ultimately, the amount of these wastes to be landfilled will be reduced by approximately 90%, extending the life of the landfill and virtually eliminating the problems associated with burying untreated municipal solid waste.
Up to 20 metric tonnes of Medical Waste received daily will be destroyed using state of the art clean technology.
